WWI Passion Project - Term 4 Week 4 - How Did It Start Where Was It?

I have learnt a lot of things this week including M.A.I.N (Militarisation, Allies, Imperialism, Nationalism). Those were the four things that caused World War I, but when Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria got killed that triggered World War I. We learnt about how countries were called empires back then and they would make alliances with each other. There were two main alliances called The Triple Entente and The Triple Alliance. The Triple Entente were Great Britain, France and Russia. The Triple Alliance was Germany, Austria-Hungary and Italy. Every soldier got PTSD (Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder) because of the horrible things they saw during the war. I forgot what it was called but there was something else that got into your body and you couldn’t get it out and it would kill you over time even after the war. The winning side would bury their soldiers in rows with white crosses with their names on them. While the losing side would dump their soldiers in mass piles and put one memorial that if you had your name on it, you were lucky. This has been going well so far, I’ve learnt a lot of things about World War I.

Evaluation
I was mainly getting carried by Cody, I'm that person that is afraid if I do something
without checking I get it wrong. All I did was dry the dishes, get the butter, brown
sugar and cocoa powder.

It looked yummy. The chocolate dessert tasted delicious. I didn't really taste
chocolate but it was still good. The texture was nice and the smell was great. The
ice cream melted really fast.

Human Rights

What I Know About Human Rights
Human rights are rights that every human should have the right to have. Some of the rights are education, work and the right to vote. There are more I know but I can't be bothered typing it up.

Who do you Think has Human Rights?
Everyone has human rights. No matter where they're from, skin colour, gender, sexuality, you have human rights.

Why do you Think Humans Rights Should be Important?
Everyone has feelings and should feel like they are treated equally.

Can you Think of a Time When you or Someone you know wasn't Showing Human Rights?
At one point last term my political party was being homophobic.

Rank These Rights

To Live
To Live Freely (Depends on how free it is like if it's do anything you want no but if it's following the law and living freely yes)
To have Clean Water and Food
To have a Fair Trial
To Get Married

Vocabulary Task:
1. Impassioned - Showing Great Emotion
2. Malnourished - Suffering
3. Inspired - Motivated
4. Campaign - A Task/Operation to Complete Something
5. Bonded Labour - Doing Work to Pay off Debts
6. Lobbied - Seek to Influence an Issue
7. Dedication - Determined to Complete Something
8. Suspicious - Cautious of Something
9. Collusion - Illegal Cooperation to Deceive Others
10. Initial - Intended

I haven't edited this since August (before lockdown), so good luck to me getting work on here.

End of Year Science Report

Hello and welcome to the final Science blog post. This year has gone by quick and Science has been amazing. But unfortunately, all good things have to come to an end. In science, we drew a house and added light bulbs to it.

The aim of the project was to calculate how much current the house had.

I picked the second template which was At Level (I'm guessing that means At Level). I used 10 light bulbs. The rooms I had were Living Room, Bathroom, Kitchen, Dining and 3 Bedrooms.

Voltage means an electromotive force or potential difference expressed in volts.
Current means a flow of electricity that results from the ordered directional movement of electrically charged particles.
Resistance means stopping something.

V/I, V/R and IxR

The project wasn't that fun, if I knew it was the end of year thing I would have done it properly. I might try to do the harder one next time

It's All About the Nutrients
For the 986th time, I say this I suck at naming Nutrients.
1. Protein.
2. Fat.
3. Carbohydrates.
4. Vitamins.

Evaluation
My team worked well together.
It tasted a bit bad because I didn't roll it properly. But I know how good they can taste and they are usually good. The texture was a bit wet.

Gymnastics

YOOOOOOOOOO what is up guys and welcome to another banger blog post.

For 4 weeks at school, we have been doing gymnastics in PE. We have been using 6 apparatus: bar, beam, parallel bars, mini-tramp, floormat and trampoline.

One challenge for me was the bar (that's the one you have to flip over right?). I couldn't do a flip over the bar. I was too afraid of falling. Most of the time I would do it sideways XD.

One achievement for me was doing the lower arm walk on the parallel bars.

Labour Weekend Blog

Hello and welcome to another blog post (I should really change my introduction because I use the same greeting all the time).

I went to the Riccarton markets with my family and friends. We basically did nothing, all we did was eat hot dogs, chips and had a drink and some doughnuts. After we went to Sumner Beach and just walked around, I took some pretty nice pictures. I ended up just lying down in the sun on top of the playground being bored. After that, we ended up chilling at our friend's house.

Sumner, New Zealand - Wikipedia

As I said before I was walking, walking, walking.

I went on my phone and went on random apps like Youtube, Spotify, Games and other random entertainment apps. I did about 300 races on Nitro Type throughout the 3 days across all my accounts and jammed to 6+ hours of Spotify doing it. I played some video games like Roblox... and yeah that's the only video game I played. One of my friend's friends did a first to claim Discord Nitro Classic Giveaway and I claimed it first. He said he was going to give away more stuff.

And basically, I like doing the stuff above, so this is a waste of a sentence.

When I was lying on top of the playground, I was bored but felt relaxed, like I was levitating.

I learnt a new strategy on Clash of Clans (Miner Mania). It works on some bases and flops on a lot of them. I successfully won two games of Roblox Bedwars with my brother.

Yeah so it was pretty boring, but at least there was something to do. At least I wasn't spending 12 hours a day jamming Fortnite.
